Have managed to get myself a race number for this years Grizzly ( from a very nice man who let me have it for free). Last years race was held in September- it had been postponed due to the wreck at Branscombe, and I swore that I'd never do it again. However, the pain, flashbacks and nightmares have just about faded and I feel able to face the Grizzly once more!! The entries had all been filled so I'm very pleased to have got my hands on a place. Wonder if I'll be so pleased when the 9th of March comes around?!
For those of you who don't know, The Grizzly IS as bad as it sounds! It's run ( or mostly walked in my case) over twenty- ish miles of really tough terrain.
This picture was taken last year near the finish, which as you can see they have kindly put at the end of a stretch of shingle beach. Sadistic bastards!!
It's going to be a killer, but will be a great training run before London.

Ooooh yes please!! I know how much you enjoyed it last year!! Can't promise I'll be any quicker this time round either!!!
I expect Andy will come, if for no other reason that to see me suffer!!!!
claires81 - I'm doing the Grizzly this year too. Can you cheer me in please? I'll be behind Wendy. And I'll be in tears! Not sure why I'm doing it really.

I did my run this morning, so I too am at home with my feet up!!
And anyway, I doubt very much if you'll finish behind me in The Grizzly- last year I got beaten by a one legged man!!!
just remember if you fall ill on the race when you run with wendy she will give loads of support once she has finished the race and left you in the muddy gutter.
Make me feel bad why don't you!!! I am sorry about that Mrs S- I honestly didn't realsise how poorly you were. Of course had I stopped to ask you.....
